Beyond digital twins: the role of foundation models in enhancing the interpretability of multiomics modalities in precision medicine

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review highlights how foundation models enhance predictive healthcare by integrating advanced digital twin modeling with multiomics and biomedical data. This approach supports disease management, risk assessment, and personalized medicine, with the goal of optimizing health outcomes through adaptive, interpretable digital simulations, accessible ...

Development of 4T1 breast cancer mouse model system for preclinical carbonic anhydrase IX studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) is a well‐recognised therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker in cancer. We developed and characterised a robust murine breast cancer model system that is suitable for CAIX studies in vitro and in vivo—it comprises both CAIX‐positive and CAIX‐negative controls and provides a solid platform for the comprehensive ...

Development of Innovation: a Systematic Self-organization Approach Развитие нововведений: системно-самоорганизационный подход [PDF]

open access: yesBìznes Inform, 2012
The article considers the key elements of the research of synergistic concept on the socio-economic systems. The usefulness of the systematic self-organization approach to the analysis of innovation processes because of their nonlinearity, stochasticity,

Time evolution of companies towards a stable scaling curve obtained from flow diagrams in three-dimensional phase space

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2019
Although scaling relations of power law forms have been revealed in a wide variety of complex systems, the origin of scaling relations in real systems remains mostly unsolved. Based on a long tradition in physics, we here explore the phase space dynamics

Construction of hyperthermostable d‐allulose 3‐epimerase from Arthrobacter globiformis M30 using the sequence information from Arthrobacter psychrolactophilus

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
d‐Allulose can be produced from d‐fructose by d‐allulose 3‐epimerase. Based on sequence homology information, we successfully engineered thermostable mutants with the protein engineering method. By integrating positive mutations, we constructed an enzyme that exhibits hyperthermostability without a loss in the activity.

Probabilistic Concepts in a Changing Climate: A Snapshot Attractor Picture

open access: yes, 2015
The authors argue that the concept of snapshot attractors and of their natural probability distributions are the only available tools by means of which mathematically sound statements can be made about averages, variances, etc., for a given time instant ...
