A New Chaotic Attractor Coined

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos in Applied Sciences and Engineering, 2002
This letter reports the finding of a new chaotic attractor in a simple three-dimensional autonomous system, which connects the Lorenz attractor and Chen's attractor and represents the transition from one to the other.

Random attractors

Journal of Dynamics and Differential Equations, 1997
Every scientist interested in the behavior of dynamical systems knows that this is one of the most important subjects of mathematical physics. It is also well-known that good results can be obtained by studying the global attractor of such a deterministic dynamical system.

ATTRACTORS WITH FLARES

Fractals, 1995
When a chaotic signal is used to force a switching-type variable which dependent on the momentary magnitude of the chaotic stimulus either shows a damped or an autocatalytic response, a new dynamical phenomenon arises. It is reminiscent of the “flares” observed in astrophysical situations.

The topology of attractors

Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, 1996
AbstractWe prove for a large class of compact metric spaces, including those manifolds of dimension at least two, Hilbert cube manifolds, and homogeneous Menger manifolds, that ‘most’ self-homeomorphisms (in the sense of residual set of homeomorphisms) have certain properties.

Is there a climatic attractor?

Nature, 1984
Much of our information on climatic evolution during the past million years comes from the time series describing the isotope record of deep-sea cores. A major task of climatology is to identify, from this apparently limited amount of information, the essential features of climate viewed as a dynamic system.

Generating Four-Wing Hyperchaotic Attractor and Two-Wing, Three-Wing, and Four-Wing Chaotic Attractors in 4D Memristive System

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos in Applied Sciences and Engineering, 2017
By adding only one smooth flux-controlled memristor into a three-dimensional (3D) pseudo four-wing chaotic system, a new real four-wing hyperchaotic system is constructed in this paper. It is interesting to see that this new memristive chaotic system can

Some properties of attractors and quasi-attractors

Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2007
Abstract In the study of the complexity of a dynamical system defined on a compact metric space X, the attractors and quasi-attractors are the objects of fundamental interest. In this paper, we shall give some properties of attractors and quasi-attractors. Finally, the Conley’s strong stability property will be improved.

Avian Attractor

Proceedings of the 2016 CHI Conference Extended Abstracts on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2016
Avian Attractor is a gestural projection combining depth images of viewers and pre-captured shots of birds in natural and architectural environment. Surface impressions of viewers merge with those of urban birds and procedural agents that extend their flight paths and trajectories. These moving images are both seen and seen through -- motionscapes that
