A new multistable jerk chaotic system, its bifurcation analysis, backstepping control-based synchronization design and circuit simulation [PDF]
In this work, we present results for a new dissipative jerk chaotic system with three quadratic terms in its dynamics. We describe the bifurcation analysis for the new jerk system and also show that the proposed system exhibits multi-stability.

In this work, we describe the model of a new 5-D hyperchaotic system with three positive Lyapunov exponents. Since the maximum positive Lyapunov exponent of the proposed hyperchaotic system is larger than twelve, the new hyperchaotic system is highly ...

Iteration of Operators with Contractive Mutual Relations of Kannan Type
Inspired by the ideas of R. Kannan, we define the new concepts of mutual Kannan contractivity and mutual contractivity between two self-maps on a metric space that generalize the concepts of the Kannan map and contraction.

DYNAMIC STATISTICAL CLASSIFICATION
We consider the statistical supervised classification problem from adynamical systems approach. We assume that two classes exist and that, for each one, a multivariate normal distribution determines the probability to be in a certain region in then ...

Information and the Origin of Qualia
This article argues that qualia are a likely outcome of the processing of information in local cortical networks. It uses an information-based approach and makes a distinction between information structures (the physical embodiment of information in the ...

Nonlinear dynamics of weakly dissipative optomechanical systems
Optomechanical systems attract a lot of attention because they provide a novel platform for quantum measurements, transduction, hybrid systems, and fundamental studies of quantum physics. Their classical nonlinear dynamics is surprisingly rich and so far

Approximating attractors of Boolean networks by iterative CTL model checking
This paper introduces the notion of approximating asynchronous attractors of Boolean networks by minimal trap spaces. We define three criteria for determining the quality of an approximation: faithfulness which requires that the oscillating variables of ...

Multiple-Function Systems Based on Regular Subdivision
Self-similar fractals can be generated using subdivision and the subdivision curves/surfaces are actually attractors. Such a connection has been studied between fractals and an extended family of subdivision including stationary and non-stationary ...

The Phonological Latching Network
This paper gives an analysis of an attractor neural network model dubbed the Phonological Latching Network. The model appears to reproduce certain quintessentially phonological phenomena, despite not having any of these phonological behaviours programmed

Random Boolean Networks (RBNs for short) are strongly simplified models of gene regulatory networks (GRNs), which have also been widely studied as abstract models of complex systems and have been used to simulate different phenomena.
