In this chapter, symmetry results in the half-space and in \(\mathbb {R}^N\) will be used towards the characterization of the asymptotic profiles of solutions in the quarter-space and in the half-space, respectively. As we have seen in the previous Chaps.

By applying the undetermined coefficient method, this paper finds homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits in the Chen system. It analytically demonstrates that the Chen system has one heteroclinic orbit of Ši'lnikov type that connects two nontrivial singular points.

ATTRACTORS IN CONSERVATIVE SYSTEMS
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2006Normally, conservative systems do not have attractors. However, in a system with escapes, the infinity acts as an attractor. Furthermore, attractors may appear as singularities at a finite distance. We consider the basins of escape in a particular Hamiltonian system with escapes and the rates of escape for various values of the parameters.
