An Attribute Multiple Encryption Scheme Based on Lattices [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2018
In order to improve the operating efficiency and the security of encryption and decryption of attribute encryption system, the theory of lattice instead of bilinear pairings is used to reduce the computational complexity of encryption and decryption ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

On Using Encryption Techniques to Enhance Sticky Policies Enforcement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
How to enforce privacy policies to protect sensitive personal data has become an urgent research topic for security researchers, as very little has been done in this field apart from some ad hoc research efforts.

Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption [PDF]

open access: yes2007 IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (SP '07), 2007
In several distributed systems a user should only be able to access data if a user posses a certain set of credentials or attributes. Currently, the only method for enforcing such policies is to employ a trusted server to store the data and mediate access control.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Fine-grained attribute update and outsourcing computing access control scheme in fog computing

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2021
To slove the problem that in the fog computing environment with comparatively high low latency demand, ciphertext policy attribute based encryption (CP-ABE) faced the problems of high encryption and decryption overhead and low efficiency of attribute ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
