Attribute-based encryption with expressive and authorized keyword search

open access: yes, 2017
To protect data security and privacy in cloud storage systems, a common solution is to outsource data in encrypted forms so that the data will remain secure and private even if storage systems are compromised. The encrypted data, however, must be pliable

Attribute-Based Encryption with Fast Decryption [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Attribute-based encryption (ABE) is a vision of public key encryption that allows users to encrypt and decrypt messages based on user attributes. This functionality comes at a cost. In a typical implementation, the size of the ciphertext is proportional to the number of attributes associated with it and the decryption time is proportional to the number

The crystal structure of the Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase BBE22 resolves a long‐standing annotation error

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct full‐length protein initiated from a non‐canonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a long‐standing annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...

Secure Power Data Sharing with Fine-grained Control: A Multi-strategy Access Tree Approach [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering
The current data sharing schemes mainly employ Attribute-Based Encryption (ABE) technique to achieve one-to-many access control for power data. However, these schemes suffer from issues such as low encryption efficiency and vulnerability to user ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Improved Banking XML Transaction Encryption Using Tag Fuzzy Classification

open access: yes
In this paper we present a novel approach for securing financial XML transactions using intelligent fuzzy classification techniques. Given an XML message X, our approach defines the process of classifying XML content to assign a unique value, which ...

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.
