Component-based programming for higher-order attribute grammars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper presents techniques for a component-based style of programming in the context of higher-oder attribute grammars (HAG). Attribute grammar components are "plugged in" into larger attribute grammar systems through higher-order attribute grammars.

A Multi‐Objective Molecular Generation Method Based on Pareto Algorithm and Monte Carlo Tree Search

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pareto Monte Carlo Tree Search Molecular Generation (PMMG), a molecular generation approach leveraging Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) and Pareto algorithm, efficiently explores the Pareto front in high‐dimensional objective spaces for multi‐objective drug design.

Li+ Diffusion in LinCoNb2O6 (0 < n ≤ 6) Anode with High Capacity Density: Fast Kinetics and Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CoNb2O6 with 6 Li+/e⁻ reaction and high theoretical capacity density of 472 mA g−1, exhibited exceptional rate capability and cycling stability, which is attributed to dual Li+ solid diffusion mechanisms, namely direct‐hopping mechanism in LinCoNb2O6 (0 ≤ n ≤ 3) and knock‐off mechanism in LinCoNb2O6 (3 < n ≤ 6).

Data types as a more ergonomic frontend for Grammar-Guided Genetic Programming [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Genetic Programming (GP) is an heuristic method that can be applied to many Machine Learning, Optimization and Engineering problems. In particular, it has been widely used in Software Engineering for Test-case generation, Program Synthesis and Improvement of Software (GI).

The Locus Coeruleus‐Periaqueductal Gray GABAergic Projection Regulates Comorbid Pain and Depression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LC‐GABA neurons exhibit elevated activity to noxious and aversive stimuli in chronic pain, and their activation alleviates pain‐ and depression‐like behaviors. While LC‐GABA neurons target LC‐NA neurons and GABA and Glu neurons in the vlPAG, they modulate the pain responses of LC‐NA neurons but regulate pain‐ and depression‐like behaviors through their

Neuropsychiatric symptoms associated multimodal brain networks in Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 44, Issue 1, Page 119-130, January 2023., 2023
Neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS)‐associated multimodal pattern spatially involves frontal‐subcortical limbic circuits, which significantly associated with cognitive performance and progression. Different frontal‐subcortical limbic circuit regions suffer different pathogenic mechanisms in Alzheimer's disease subjects concomitant with NPS.

Quantifying the Impact of Cathode Composite Mixing Quality on Active Mass Utilization and Reproducibility of Solid‐State Battery Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The origin of variations in solid‐state battery cell performance is explored and traced back mainly to the cathode composite mixing – leading to different fractions of electrochemically active mass. Machine‐mixed composites and the quantification of the electrochemically active mass enhance reproducibility and comparability.

Differences in functional connectivity distribution after transcranial direct‐current stimulation: A connectivity density point of view

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 44, Issue 1, Page 170-185, January 2023., 2023
In this manuscript, we develop a method utilizing the distribution of resting‐state fMRI connectivity measurements to study the effect of a direct stimulation. The method can drastically reduce the number of multiple comparisons compared with edge‐wise analysis.

Context-Free Grammars with Storage [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Context-free S grammars are introduced, for arbitrary (storage) type S, as a uniform framework for recursion-based grammars, automata, and transducers, viewed as programs. To each occurrence of a nonterminal of a context-free S grammar an object of type S is associated, that can be acted upon by tests and operations, as indicated in the rules of the ...
