Resolving Data Sparsity via Aggregating Graph-Based User–App–Location Association for Location Recommendations

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Personalized location recommendations aim to recommend places that users want to visit, which can save their decision-making time in daily life. However, the recommending task faces a serious data sparsity problem because users have only visited a small ...

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Fair Benchmark for Unsupervised Node Representation Learning

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2022
Most machine-learning algorithms assume that instances are independent of each other. This does not hold for networked data. Node representation learning (NRL) aims to learn low-dimensional vectors to represent nodes in a network, such that all ...

Cascade Attribute Learning Network

open access: yesCoRR, 2017
We propose the cascade attribute learning network (CALNet), which can learn attributes in a control task separately and assemble them together. Our contribution is twofold: first we propose attribute learning in reinforcement learning (RL). Attributes used to be modeled using constraint functions or terms in the objective function, making it hard to ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

A Convolutional Neural Network Combined with Attributed Scattering Centers for SAR ATR

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
It is very common to apply convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to synthetic aperture radar (SAR) automatic target recognition (ATR). However, most of the SAR ATR methods using CNN mainly use the image features of SAR images and make little use of the ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Protein complexes identification based on go attributed network embedding

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2018
Background Identifying protein complexes from protein-protein interaction (PPI) network is one of the most important tasks in proteomics. Existing computational methods try to incorporate a variety of biological evidences to enhance the quality of ...

Joint embedding of structure and features via graph convolutional networks

open access: yesApplied Network Science, 2020
The creation of social ties is largely determined by the entangled effects of people’s similarities in terms of individual characters and friends. However, feature and structural characters of people usually appear to be correlated, making it difficult ...
