A new attributed graph clustering by using label propagation in complex networks

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences, 2022
The diffusion method is one of the main methods of community detection in complex networks. In this method, the use of the concept that diffusion within the nodes that are members of a community is faster than the diffusion of nodes that are not in the ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

SNCA: Semi-Supervised Node Classification for Evolving Large Attributed Graphs

open access: yesBig Data Mining and Analytics
Attributed graphs have an additional sign vector for each node. Typically, edge signs represent like or dislike relationship between the node pairs. This has applications in domains, such as recommender systems, personalised search, etc. However, limited

A Hierarchical Generative Embedding Model for Influence Maximization in Attributed Social Networks

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Nowadays, we use social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, WeChat and Weibo as means to communicate with each other. Social networks have become so indispensable in our everyday life that we cannot imagine what daily life would be like without social ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Customized influence maximization in attributed social networks: heuristic and meta-heuristic algorithms

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems, 2023
The influence maximization problem is one of the most fundamental topics in social networks. However, most existing studies have focused on non-attributed networks, neglecting the consideration of users’ properties during information propagation ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

An unsupervised deep learning ensemble model for anomaly detection in static attributed social networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cognitive Computing in Engineering, 2022
Due to its importance in several applications, including fraud and spammer detection, anomaly detection has emerged as a key challenge in social network analysis in recent years.
