Key attributes of designers’ competencies for design-for-deconstruction implementation
Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Management, Procurement and LawSuccessfully integrating design for deconstruction (DfD) principles into the construction industry will require articulated design guides and designers’ competencies. This calls for understanding the attributes of designers’ competencies essential for effective DfD implementation.

Some attributes of design theory
Civil Engineering Systems, 1988Abstract It is argued that ‘design theory’ is properly a theory about theories or a metatheory. With that as a starting point, methods now available in the systems literature to treat designs as assemblies of modules are discussed. Applications to a work station for fabric roof design are included.

Design‐based mapping of tree attributes by 3P sampling
Biometrical Journal, 2020AbstractThe estimation of individual values (marks) in a finite population of units (e.g., trees) scattered onto a survey region is considered under 3P sampling. For each unit, the mark is estimated by means of an inverse distance weighting interpolator. Conditions ensuring the design‐based consistency of maps are considered under 3P sampling.
