Abstract The new troglobiotic shrimp Ficticaris serbica, gen. nov., sp. nov., Atyidae, was found in northern part of the Balkan Peninsula within a vast territory between the Dinaric Karst (on the north-western part of the Balkan Peninsula) and the Caucasus, a disjunct gap of Troglocaris distribution.

Is Troglocaris anophthalmus (Crustacea, Decapoda, Atyidae) blind, eyeless, or both?
Mémoires de biospéologie, 2001Eyestalks of cavernicolous Troglocaris sp. cf. anophthalmus from an Istrian cave were examined by light- , scanning- and transmission electron microscopy. Apart from nervous tissue inside the eyestalk, no indications of ommatidia or their constituent cells tvere found.

Crustaceana, 1975[Der Gattungstypus Caridinopsis chevalieri und die Nominalart Caridinopsis brevinaris sind entgegengesetzte Extreme innerhalb einer allmahlichen Veranderung der Rostrumlange und anderer Variablen. Die Rostrumlange ist eine Funktion der Entfernung von der Bachquelle; die geringsten Rostrumlangen findet man am Anfang der Quelle.

Zootaxa, 2019This contribution aims in enhancing knowledge of the zoogeography of the freshwater shrimp fauna of Greece, based on field collections carried out from 2002–2016. A total of 167 specimens were collected from 25 locations in rivers, streams and lakes of the Greek peninsula and islands.
