Efficiently Self-Synchronized Audio Watermarking for Assured Audio Data Transmission
IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, 2005In this paper, we propose a self-synchronization algorithm for audio watermarking to facilitate assured audio data transmission. The synchronization codes are embedded into audio with the informative data, thus the embedded data have the self-synchronization ability.

Dantzig selector for audio data reconstruction
2013 7th Conference on Speech Technology and Human - Computer Dialogue (SpeD), 2013The paper aims at applying a sparse representation technique named Dantzig selector (DS) for audio signal decoding and reconstruction. Dantzig selector is compared with another sparse signal representation variant called gradient projection for sparse reconstruction (GPSR).

Noisy audio feature enhancement using audio-visual speech data
IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002We investigate improving automatic speech recognition (ASR) in noisy conditions by enhancing noisy audio features using visual speech captured from the speaker's face. The enhancement is achieved by applying a linear filter to the concatenated vector of noisy audio and visual features, obtained by mean square error estimation of the clean audio ...

Denoising of Audio Data by Nonlinear Diffusion
2005Nonlinear diffusion has long proven its capability for discontinuity-preserving removal of noise in image processing. We investigate the possibility to employ diffusion ideas for the denoising of audio signals. An important difference between image and audio signals is which parts of the signal are considered as useful information and noise.

Modelling and Streaming Spatiotemporal Audio Data
2005In this paper, we describe a special application domain of data management – the production of high-quality spatial sound. The IOSONO system, developed by Fraunhofer IDMT, is based on the wave field synthesis. Here, a large number of loudspeakers is installed around the listening room.

A time-discrete audio signal is processed to provide a quantization block with quantized spectral values. Furthermore, an integer spectral representation is generated from the time-discrete audio signal using an integer transform algorithm. The quantization block having been generated using a psychoacoustic model is inversely quantized and rounded to ...
