Next Steps for the Colorado Risk-Limiting Audit (CORLA) Program [PDF]
Colorado conducted risk-limiting tabulation audits (RLAs) across the state in 2017, including both ballot-level comparison audits and ballot-polling audits. Those audits only covered contests restricted to a single county; methods to efficiently audit contests that cross county boundaries and combine ballot polling and ballot-level comparisons have not

A competitive‐binding paradigm for detection of viruses with the detection of the receptor binding domain of the spike protein as an illustrative example is introduced. Importantly, this approach does not rely on antibodies and therefore is of significance for detecting novel and emerging pathogens. Abstract A liquid crystal (LC)‐based sensing platform

Auditable Register Emulations [PDF]
The widespread prevalence of data breaches amplifies the importance of auditing storage systems. In this work, we initiate the study of auditable storage emulations, which provide the capability for an auditor to report the previously executed reads in a register.

This study presents an enhancement in the sensitivity of inverse photoemission spectroscopy (IPES) by more than 20 times by utilizing a custom‐made off‐axis parabolic mirror for improved light collection. Combined with ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy (UPS), the enhanced sensitivity of our IPES setup allows for comprehensive mapping of interface ...

Demonstration of a Graphene Adjustable‐Barriers Phototransistor with Tunable Ultra‐High Responsivity
A novel graphene‐based phototransistor with a tunable ultra‐high responsivity of 1.7 x 107 AW−1 has been demonstrated. Due to the selected material combination of amorphous silicon, graphene and n‐germanium, the device is potentially capable of dual‐band detection in the VIS‐IR range.
