Normal Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials in Pax5-Deficient Mice Despite Morphologic Alterations in the Auditory Midbrain Region

International Journal of Audiology, 1996
The inferior colliculus in the auditory midbrain region is underdeveloped near the midline in mice lacking the transcription factor Pax5. We have now tested whether hearing deficiencies occur in these mice by measuring auditory evoked brainstem responses.

Regional Cerebral Activation During Auditory Stimulation in Patients With Cochlear Implants

Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1995
To evaluate a possible change in the regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) in the language-related cortical areas of the brain during stimulation of a cochlear implant. The rCBF was measured by single-photon emission tomography and inhalation of Xenon Xe 133, providing information on the regional functional level of the brain.
