Epileptic Disorders, 2019
ABSTRACTWe report the case of a patient with epilepsy who described shame and embarrassment at the beginning of his seizures. Non‐invasive and invasive presurgical investigations led to resection of the polar and ventromedial portions of the right frontal lobe.

This paper presents AURA, a programming language for access control that treats ordinary programming constructs (e.g., integers and recursive functions) and authorization logic constructs (e.g., principals and access control policies) in a uniform way. AURA is based on polymorphic DCC and uses dependent types to permit assertions that refer directly to

The Neurologist, 2007
Recurrent episodes of transient focal neurologic symptoms, known as aura, occur in association with migraine headache in about 11.9 million people in the United States. At present, the International Headache Society has recognized 3 "typical" auras: visual, sensory, and language.

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2009
AbstractCorroles display distinctive structural, spectroscopic, and photophysical properties, as well as some exceptional chemical reactivities that are not shared by other molecules. In addition, low‐valent metal complexes are extremely reactive when chelated by corroles and the opposite holds for the high‐valent counterparts.

The Genetics of Migraine Without Aura and Migraine With Aura
Cephalalgia, 1993Studies of twins, spouses and familial aggregation strongly suggest that migraine without aura (MO) and migraine with aura (MA) are genetically determined. The mode of inheritance is most likely multifactorial in both MO and MA. However, autosomal dominant inheritance with reduced penetrance cannot be excluded in either MO or MA.

Modernist Cultures, 2005
Marjorie Perloff's wide-ranging essay reflects on the fate of Modernism in the twentieth century. She focuses in particular on claims that it was either elitist and authoritarian, and thus politically reactionary, or was caught up in processes of capitalist commodification, and therefore unable to resist the very alienation it diagnosed. In the period

Continuum, 2018
This article discusses the basic mechanisms of migraine aura and its clinical significance based upon evidence from human studies and animal models.Prospective clinical studies have reinforced the understanding that migraine aura is highly variable from one individual to the next as well as from attack to attack in an individual.

This paper presents a new technique, called aura 3D textures, for generating solid textures based on input examples. Our method is fully automatic and requires no user interactions in the process. Given an input texture sample, our method first creates its aura matrix representations and then generates a solid texture by sampling the aura matrices of ...
