Microrna Expression in Aurelia aurita Metamorphosis
MicroRNAIntroduction: In animal taxa and jellyfish, the same genome encodes for the dif-ferent phenotypes that characterize life stages that follow each other during ontogeny. This situation underscores the existence of profound regulation of genomic information at the epigenetic level.

Aurelia aurita jellyfish collagen: Recovery properties
Wound and burn healing is a complex physiological process that can be facilitated by medications based on marine collagen. In this regard, biomass of the Aurelia aurita jellyfish is a promising alternative source of medical collagen.

Significant envenomation by Aurelia aurita, the moon jellyfish
Toxicon, 1988The case of a patient envenomated by Aurelia aurita, who developed significant local cutaneous lesions and immunospecific serum antibodies is reported. The lesions required more than ten days to heal. The patient developed significant cross-reacting antibodies to Chrysaora quinquecirrha antigens.

Ciliary Mechanisms in Aurelia aurita
Nature, 1949DURING the last two years attempts have been made to review the work of Widmark1, Gemmill2, and Orton3 on the ciliation and mode of feeding in Aurelia aurita (Linne). The investigations have not been completed owing to the difficulty in obtaining healthy living material, which is essential for a study of this kind; but certain important features have ...

Rhopalium development in Aurelia aurita ephyrae
Hydrobiologia, 1991Rhopalia of developing ephyrae were examined using the SEM and TEM at 24 h intervals following strobilation induction. Kinocilia are shorter in the ephyra stage than in polyps. A few ephyra-type kinocilia are found in rhopalia as early as 24 h after induction, before a distinct rhopalium is seen.

EFFECTS OF TRICAINE METHANESULFONATE IN A MANAGED COLLECTION OF MOON JELLYFISH (AURELIA AURITA)
Journal of zoo and wildlife medicine, 2022: The moon jellyfish (Aurelia aurita) is a scyphozoan frequently maintained in public and private aquaria. Little research has been conducted to investigate the effects of various drugs, such as anesthetics, in this species. Tricaine methanesulfonate (MS-
