This study investigates the tribological response of 60NiTi alloy under dry, water‐lubricated and high‐temperature conditions. The alloy exhibits decreasing wear volume and friction with increasing temperature due to the formation of protective oxide layers. The work clarifies dominant wear mechanisms and demonstrates the suitability of 60NiTi for high‐

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Critical Temperature Range in Standard and Ni-bearing Spheroidal Graphite Cast Irons [PDF]
Describing the conditions for reaustenitization of spheroidal graphite cast irons is of interest for their heat-treatment after casting, e.g. for manufacturing austempered ductile irons.

Phase Transformation from Fine-grained Austenite
Microstructure formed by diffusional or martensitic transformation from fine-grained austenite of which grain size is smaller than 5 μm was studied. Grain refinement of austenite was established through two kinds of reversion processes; (1) cyclic transformation between martensite and austenite and (2) reverse transformation from tempered and cold ...

Deformation mechanisms in a TiNi shape memory alloy during cyclic loading [PDF]
The deformation mechanisms governing the cyclic stress-strain behaviour of a TiNi shape memory alloy were investigated in this work. To understand the development of these mechanisms during cyclic loading, three low-cycle fatigue tests were performed and
