American College of Rheumatology Guidance Statement for Diagnosis and Management of VEXAS Developed by the International VEXAS Working Group Expert Panel
Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.Objective
Vacuoles E1 enzyme X‐linked autoinflammatory somatic syndrome (VEXAS) is a recently identified rare genetic disorder associated with somatic mutations in the UBA1 gene. VEXAS presents with a combination of inflammatory and hematologic manifestations, leading to increased morbidity and mortality.Arsene Mekinian, Sophie Georgin‐Lavialle, Marcela A. Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView. Objective
Gout caused by the formation of monosodium urate (MSU) crystals and calcium pyrophosphate (CPP) deposition disease are two major types of microcrystalline pathologies in adults. They are responsible for recurrent flares that rely on interleukin (IL) 1β via activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome.Chinh Nghia Pham, Florence Castelli, Flora Finet, Charles Leroy, Céline Chollet, Twinu W. Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView. Objective
Deficiency of adenosine deaminase 2 (DADA2) is a monogenic autoinflammatory disease manifested as polyarteritis nodosa, stroke, and bone marrow failure. Leveraging an international cohort of 200 DADA2 cases, we aimed to characterize the diagnostic utility of a plasma ADA2 enzyme activity assay and understand the implications of residual ADA2 ...Jian Yue, Courtney E. Arthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article. Objective
Dysregulated type I interferon (IFN) signaling contributes to autoimmune myositis pathogenesis. We investigated the therapeutic effects of JAK inhibitors in two mouse models. We also examined how type I IFNs affect muscle vasculature. Methods
Myositis was induced in MHC class I transgenic (HT) female mice at day 21.Rita Spathis, Sabrina Narvesen, Deeva Robles Kuriplach, Karen Huang, Teja Sundar, Elizabeth Bagley, Joanna E Parkes, Xinyu Jia, Nandhana Sudhan, Alfredo Guzman, Kanneboyina Nagaraju, Melissa Morales +11 morewiley +1 more sourceAn Examination of Racial Bias in Scoring the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) Module 3: An Item Response Theory Analysis
Autism Research, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Given the rising prevalence of autism among racial minority children in the United States, but persistent service use disparities, this study examines potential bias in specific items from the autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS), a highly regarded autism evaluation.Yuen Yvonne Yu, Austin Wyman, Calliana J.
