Design and experimental investigation on a 150K auto-cascade refrigeration system
2011 International Conference on Materials for Renewable Energy & Environment, 2011A single compressed and four-stage segregating auto-cascade refrigeration system was developed in this paper, the temperature of the liquid coolant in the tank with 5L could reach 150K. Cooling process after throttling was analyzed, and the effect of the different proportion of the refrigerants was also pointed out.

Abstract Auto cascade refrigeration (ACR) cycle with phase separators is widely used in the cryogenic system. The composition of mixed refrigerant has a great effect on the performance of the system. Based on the assumption of infinite volume of phase separator, ACR system with one phase separator is simulated in this paper.

A potential auto-cascade absorption refrigeration system for pre-cooling of LNG liquefaction
Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, 2015Abstract Low temperature cooling is required during production or recovery processes of the liquefied natural gas (LNG). An absorption refrigeration system for pre-cooling of LNG production or recovery, which can be powered by low-grade thermal energy and produce low temperature cooling, could provide great potential of energy saving by recovering ...

Auto-cascade refrigeration systems: A key review with energetic and exergetic perspectives
Applied Thermal EngineeringAuto-cascade refrigeration (ACR) systems are known for their innovative solutions, especially suitable for low and ultra-low temperature applications. However, ACR cycles are not solely confined to refrigeration applications; they are also utilized in heating and electricity generation cycles. While the fact that this subject has been addressed in only

International Journal of Exergy
This study examines both conventional and advanced exergy analyses of a modified ejector-enhanced auto-cascade refrigeration (MEACR) cycle. Conventional exergy analysis shows that the proposed model significantly improves exergy efficiency compared to similar ejector-enhanced auto-cascade refrigeration cycles in the literature. Advanced exergy analysis

The Comparative Analysis of R22 and R134a Applied in a Five-Stage Auto-Cascade Refrigeration System
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013The mixed refrigerants R22/R23/R14/R740/R728 and R134a/R23/R14/R740/R728 are used in a five-stage auto-cascade refrigeration system for study in this paper. Through theoretic comparison of high temperature stage refrigerant R22 and R134a and repeated experiments we can get the results that the discharge temperature of the refrigerant R134a can be ...
