A first order geometric auto regressive process for boundary layer wind speed simulation [PDF]
Under certain conditions the first order geometric auto regressive (AR) process has statistical properties similar to atmospheric boundary layer wind speed. In this contribution, we investigate this similarity and analyse the extent to which this stochastic process is a suitable model for wind speed simulation.

Adaptive Hydrogels With Spatiotemporal Stiffening Using pH‐Modulating Enzymes
The chemomechanical coupling in an adaptive hydrogel is studied to further the development of adaptive hydrogels. This coupling is achieved by embedding a pH‐modulating enzyme in a pH‐responsive hydrogel. The enzymatic reaction can be triggered locally, which generates a pH‐decreasing wave throughout the system, increasing the crosslinking density and ...

Hardware optimization for photonic time-delay reservoir computer dynamics
Reservoir computing (RC) is one kind of neuromorphic computing mainly applied to process sequential data such as time-dependent signals. In this paper, the bifurcation diagram of a photonic time-delay RC system is thoroughly studied, and a method of ...

Machine learning–guided engineering of a plectasin‐derived peptide yields DC05, a potent antimycobacterial candidate. Encapsulation into tuftsin‐functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles enhances intracellular delivery, stability, and activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis while maintaining low cytotoxicity and minimal hemolysis. The combined

Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Hybrid Wind Speed Prediction Based on a Self-Adaptive ARIMAX Model with an Exogenous WRF Simulation
Wind speed forecasting is difficult not only because of the influence of atmospheric dynamics but also for the impossibility of providing an accurate prediction with traditional statistical forecasting models that work by discovering an inner ...
