Two Extremal Autocorrelated Arrival Processes

Probability in the Engineering and Informational Sciences, 1997
Extremal arrival processes, in the sense of increasing convex order of waiting time of queueing systems, are investigated. Two types of extremal processes are proposed: one in the class of processes that have identical marginal distributions and the other in the class of bounded stochastic processes that have the same mean and covariance structure. The

Statistical process control on autocorrelated process

2013 10th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management, 2013
Statistical process control techniques have found widespread application in industry for process improvement and for estimating process parameters or determining capability. Unfortunately, the assumption of uncorrelated or independent observations is not even approximately satisfied in some manufacturing processes.

Multivariate Quality Control Chart for Autocorrelated Processes

Journal of Applied Statistics, 2004
Traditional multivariate statistical process control (SPC) techniques are based on the assumption that the successive observation vectors are independent. In recent years, due to automation of measurement and data collection systems, a process can be sampled at higher rates, which ultimately leads to autocorrelation.

Partial autocorrelation function for spatial processes

Statistics & Probability Letters, 1994
This paper deals with statistics of second-order stationary two- dimensional random fields. For data observed on a rectangular lattice, several authors suggested suitable two-dimensional ARMA models to apply time series methods. For a class of such ARMA-models a partial autocorrelation function (PACF) is defined and the estimation of this PACF is ...

PHYLOGENETIC AUTOCORRELATION UNDER DISTINCT EVOLUTIONARY PROCESSES

Evolution, 2001
I show how phylogenetic correlograms track distinct microevolutionary processes and can be used as empirical descriptors of the relationship between interspecific covariance (V(B)) and time since divergence (t). Data were simulated under models of gradual and speciational change, using increasing levels of stabilizing selection in a stochastic Ornstein-

Multivariate statistical process control for autocorrelated processes

International Journal of Production Research, 1996
Multivariate statistical process control is often used in chemical and process industries where autocorrelation is most prevalent. We present a realistic model that generates autocorrelation and crosscorrelation and provides a useful approach to characterizing process data.

Advanced Monitoring of Complex Autocorrelated Processes

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2004
Abstract In this work, the integration of ARMA filters into the multivariate statistical process control (MSPC) framework is presented to improve the monitoring of large-scale industrial processes. As demonstrated in the paper, such filters can remove auto-correlation from the monitored variables to avoid the production of false alarms.

Statistical Process Control of Stationary Autocorrelated Process

2010 International Conference on Intelligent Computation Technology and Automation, 2010
When control charts are used to monitor a process, a standard assumption is that observations from the process at different times are independent random variables. However, the independence assumption is often not reasonable for processes of interest in many applications because the dynamics of the process product autocorrelation in the process ...

Batch processing in autocorrelation function analysis

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1975
The effect of batch processing on signal recovery statistics, in the case of an exponential autocorrelation function, is investigated. It is shown that the loss of information and accuracy is small provided the interval between batches is less than the coherence time of the signal.

Autocorrelation processing in convergence zones

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1985
The sensitivity of first and second convergence zone arrivals to small changes in source location has been examined using two simple analytic models and the NUSC Generic Sonar Model (GSM). All three models indicate that the number of arrivals and the interpath time differences vary greatly with the location of the source in a convergence zone.
