Evaluation of Autocorrelation Techniques for Detection of the Fetal Electrocardiogram

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1966
This paper presents an evaluation of autocorrelation techniques for the detection of fetal electrocardiogram signals from abdominal recordings. Raw signals are digitized, then processed and analyzed by a digital computer. The effect of elimination of the maternal signal and of fluctuations in the fetal period is demonstrated.

Autocorrelation free spectral OCT techniques in eye imaging

Photon Migration, Optical Coherence Tomography, and Microscopy, 2001
Two improved spectral Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) techniques: a differential and complex methods are compared with classical spectral OCT. Both methods enable to eliminate parasitical terms. Additionally the complex spectral OCT doubles the useful depth range. Ophthalmic applications of above-mentioned techniques are presented.

Autocorrelation techniques in color flow imaging: signal model and statistical properties of the autocorrelation estimates

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1994
A review of the scattering theory for moving blood, and a model for the signal in a multigated pulsed wave Doppler system is presented. The model describes the relation between a general time-variable velocity field and the signal correlation in space and time, including the effect of movement of the ultrasonic beam for color flow imaging systems with ...

Near-optimal PLA input variable pairing using autocorrelation techniques

Microelectronics Journal, 1992
Abstract One logic optimization that can be used to reduce the area required by a PLA is to use multi-bit rather than single-bit input decoders. In such a PLA the input variables are partitioned into disjoint subsets, each of which is used as the input to a decoder.

Cognitive radio with fast sensing technique using autocorrelation approach

2016 18th International Conference on Advanced Communication Technology (ICACT), 2016
The dynamic spectrum allocation is important to improve spectrum efficiency usage of available radio spectrum. Cognitive radio has emerged as a solution to dynamic spectrum access, due to its adaptability and re-configurability. The main problem of cognitive radio is how the secondary users can detect the holes in the frequency band of the primary ...

A technique to approximate the eigenvalues of autocorrelation functions

IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference and Exhibition. Communications for the Information Age, 2003
The authors consider multipath propagation in which one or more attenuated and delay versions of the same radiated signal are received at a single sensor or a beamformed array of sensors. They propose a probabilistic model for the eigenvalues and investigate the use of the theory of moments to obtain an approximation to the eigenvalues of a homogeneous

LPI Detection of Frequency-Hopping Signals Using Autocorrelation Techniques

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1985
Interception of frequency-hopping (FH) waveforms is commonly achieved by using a set of radiometers (energy detectors) that individually energy-detect subbands of the total spread bandwidth of the suspected transmission. In this paper, a scheme is analyzed which can improve the detection performance of FH waveforms in wide-band additive Gaussian noise (

Parameter estimation of random FH signals using autocorrelation techniques

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1995
Multiple-hop autocorrelation (MHAC) processing is considered as a means of estimating the parameters of frequency-hopping signals in the presence of broadband thermal noise. It is shown that power sampling in the MHAC domain suppresses the dependence on the hopping frequency, carrier phase, and hop timing, while maintaining the hop-rate information ...

Rolling bearing fault diagnosis techniques - autocorrelation and cepstrum analyses

2015 23rd Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED), 2015
The faulty vibration signals generally represent a combination of source and transmission path effects. For example, internal forces in vehicle gearbox which are the source of vibration act on a structure whose properties may be described by a frequency response function between the point of application and the point of measurements.
