This presentation introduces the main features of the AUTODYN and ROBOTRAN programmes [1]. These programmes, based on d'Alembert Potential Power Principle, allow to derive the equations of motion of mechanical systems which can be represented by a set of rigid bodies interconnected by joints.

Analytical estimation of the parameters of autodyne lidar
Applied Optics, 2002An analytical approach for a calculation of the parameters of autodyne lidar is presented. Approximate expressions connecting the absorption coefficient and the distance to the remote target with both the lidar parameters and the measured quantities are obtained.

Optical autodyne detection: theory and experiment
Applied Optics, 1987Optical autodyne detection is a direct detection procedure for measuring relative Doppler frequency shifts using a laser transceiver. A theoretical study of the carrier-to-noise ratio and signal-to-noise ratio for an autodyne transceiver is presented. Experimental results, obtained with a cw autodyne transceiver, are reported.

Methods of autodyne signal registration
13th International Crimean Conference Microwave and Telecommunication Technology, 2003. CriMiCo 2003., 2003In order to increase autodyne radar sensibility and its reach, accordingly, it is proposed to record autodyne frequency changes. At the moving of reflecting object, oscillations occur with Doppler frequency. Autodyne system becomes cheaper and less complicated if autodyne signal is recorded in the feed circuit.

Potential of autodyne lidars for study of the atmosphere
1994 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe, 1994Nowaday usage of laser autodyning, i.e., usage of a laser as a transmitter of probing signal and as the receiver of its frequency shifted echo, is quite attractive area for the lidar community (see, for example, Ref.1). Such an approach to laser sensing of the atmosphere looks very beneficial since information on atmospheric path losses and on ...

Autodyne sensors for railway crossings
2010 20th International Crimean Conference "Microwave & Telecommunication Technology", 2010The autodyne sensor description on Gunn diode of 8-mm wave-length intended for detection of path occupation and the caps of the obstacle device for transport vehicles at guarded and non-guarded railway crossings is discussed. To solve the problems of path occupation and checking the cap occupation for transport vehicles, we offered and developed the ...

A Theoretical Approach to the Autodyne
IEEE Transactions on Education, 1968While the autodyne has been widely utilized for many years as a "rotating amplifier," no simple analysis of the operation of this machine has appeared in the literature which is suitable for presentation at the undergraduate level. An analysis based on simple machine concepts is presented.

Autodyne Coherent Doppler Lidars
Coherent Laser Radar: Technology and Applications, 1991Autodyne coherent lidars, i.e., the lidars with intracavity reception of the echo-signals proved to be of efficient for studying the atmosphere1-3. They possess high sensitivity and high noise immunity. They make it possible to determine few parameters in question simultaneously, namely: the absorption along the path, the distance to the retroreflector

Mathematical model of FM autodyne radar
2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW), 2016The mathematical model of operation of frequency modulated autodyne radar is developed. The model is presented in the form of an oscillator situated under influence of the proper reflected radiation from a radar object and inherent oscillator noises. Options of frequency modulation in the supply circuit and by means of capacity variation of the varicap
