Improved Prediction for Nonlinear Thermal History of Mg Alloy Subjected to Multiple Electropulses

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 26, Issue 21, November 2024.
This study explores the intricate nonlinear thermal history of Mg alloys subjected to multiple electropulses. By tailoring a dataset for an advanced machine learning (ML) model called i‐long short‐term memory, the predictivity and generalizability of thermal history predictions under various multipulse conditions are significantly enhanced ...

Autofocusing drift tube linac envelopes

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2021
To date, beam dynamics studies and design of combined zero degree drift tube linac (DTL) structures (Kombinierte Null Grad Struktur; KONUS) have only been carried out in multiparticle codes. Quantities such as the beam envelopes are obtained by averaging

Metabolipidomic changes induced by dermal nickel penetration determined in an ex vivo porcine ear skin model

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 38, Issue 20, 30 October 2024.
Rational Nickel is one of humans' most prevalent triggers of allergic contact dermatitis. However, the underlying mechanisms of this allergy still need to be fully understood. One aspect that has yet to be explored is the direct impact of common metal allergens on the skin's metabolites and lipids composition.

Passive Autofocusing System for a Thermal Camera

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Most of the Thermal (Infrared) cameras nowadays are equipped with a motorized lens for focusing a scene manually. The subjective nature of manual focusing makes it an inefficient and cumbersome process.

One‐pot Functionalization for the Preparation of Cobaltocene‐Modified Redox‐Responsive Porous Microparticles

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 56, October 8, 2024.
The convenient modification of microparticles with cobaltocenium moieties is described by taking advantage of a hydroamination reaction with a metal‐containing acetylene derivative. The high accuracy of this technique opens the way to tailored stimuli‐responsive spheres showing reversible redox‐addressability over high cycling numbers.

Circular synthetic aperture radar sub‐aperture angle information complementation based on azimuth‐controllable generative adversarial network

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 18, Issue 10, Page 1779-1795, October 2024.
Specifically, the authors propose a novel CGAN architecture that can control the azimuth angle for arbitrary angle generation, capable of complementing missing CSAR sub‐aperture information. The network incorporates angular labels for various scenarios and integrates a dynamic region‐aware convolution (DRconv) module.
