Pearcey plasmon: An autofocusing surface wave
In this article, we present a new kind of autofocusing surface plasmonic wave: the Pearcey plasmon. The result shows that the Pearcey plasmon evolves at the silver-air interface in the form of two-dimensional Pearcey plasmon function.

Incoherent Digital Holography Empowered by Wavefront and Information Engineering: A Review
Advancements in incoherent digital holography (IDH) have been achieved via wavefront engineering (using spatial light modulators, diffractive optics, and metasurfaces) and information engineering (using compressive sensing and deep learning). This paper presents an overview of IDH with wavefront and information engineering, paving the way toward its ...

An Extended Virtual Aperture Imaging Model for Through-the-wall Sensing and Its Environmental Parameters Estimation [PDF]
Through-the-wall imaging (TWI) radar has been given increasing attention in recent years. However, prior knowledge about environmental parameters, such as wall thickness and dielectric constant, and the standoff distance between an array and a wall, is ...

Dynamic Control of Circular Airy Beams With Linear Optical Potentials
We investigate the propagation dynamics of radially symmetric, circular Airy beams through a medium having linear optical potentials. On the basis of analytic expressions and numerical calculations, we show that “off-axis” autofocusing can ...

Utility of whole‐slide imaging for rapid evaluation of thyroid FNA: A multireader prospective study
Abstract Background Rapid on‐site evaluation (ROSE) of thyroid fine‐needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) improves diagnostic adequacy and facilitates ancillary molecular testing. In this prospective, multireader study, the authors evaluated the feasibility of using whole‐slide images (WSIs) for ROSE to determine specimen adequacy and preliminary ...

Depth and Shape Estimation from Focus in Scanning Electron Microscope for Micromanipulation.
International audienceInter-object depth estimation is always a major concern for micromanipulation using scanning electron microscope (SEM). So far, various methods have been proposed for estimating this depth based on stereoscopic imaging. Most of them

The premature aging‐related progerin leads to defective nuclear morphology and is associated with disrupted molecular coupling between the extranuclear cytoskeleton and lamin‐associated nuclear envelope. It is discovered that progerin expression reduces nuclear tension, forms nuclear wrinkling, and enhances chromatin dynamics, thereby regulating ...
