Synergistic effect of expansive agent and internal curing on the performance of UHPC
The challenge of autogenous shrinkage in ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) arises from the scarcity of expansive hydration products and insufficient water for cement hydration, which jeopardize structural stability.

PREDICTION OF OCCURRENCE OF CRACKS DUE TO AUTOGENEOUS SHRINKAGE AND DRYING SHRINKAGE

Autogenous shrinkage, speciality of high performance concretes [PDF]
Autogenous shrinkage is a consequence of self dessication in pores of hardened cement paste and is, at high performance concrete significantly greater than that of the ordinary concretes, mainly due to low water to cement ratio.

Aggregate Restraining Effect on Autogenous Shrinkage of Cementitious Materials
In this paper the restraining effect of aggregates on autogenous shrinkage of cementitious materials is investigated by using different maximum aggregate sizes. Experimental studies were conducted to determine the restraining effect of aggregates on autogenous shrinkage of composites with a paste to aggregate ratio of 70 to 30 by volume percent. It was
