Mean-Field Analysis with Random Perturbations to Detect Gliders in Cellular Automata
Cellular automata are mathematical models that represent systems with complex behavior through simple interactions between their individual elements. These models can be used to study unconventional computational systems and complexity.

On cascade products of answer set programs
Describing complex objects by elementary ones is a common strategy in mathematics and science in general. In their seminal 1965 paper, Kenneth Krohn and John Rhodes showed that every finite deterministic automaton can be represented (or "emulated") by a ...

Non‐thermal plasma treatment of melanoma cells induced epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in a dose‐dependent fashion. This report highlights the critical need to further investigate potential adverse effects of non‐thermal plasma for cancer therapy and to optimize treatment parameters for clinical translation. Despite the promising results of non‐

Cotargeting EGFR and STAT3 with Erlotinib and TTI‐101 impairs both 2D and 3D growth of ETV1‐overexpressing prostate cancer cells by disrupting a self‐sustaining ETV1–EGFR positive feedback loop that promotes EGFR and STAT3 expression and phosphorylation (activation).

The structure of communication problems in cellular automata [PDF]
Studying cellular automata with methods from communication complexity appears to be a promising approach. In the past, interesting connections between communication complexity and intrinsic universality in cellular automata were shown.

A review of Quantum Cellular Automata [PDF]
Discretizing spacetime is often a natural step towards modelling physical systems. For quantum systems, if we also demand a strict bound on the speed of information propagation, we get quantum cellular automata (QCAs).

Chimeric diphtheria toxin–CCL8 cytotoxic peptide for breast cancer management
DTCCL8 is a recombinant fusion toxin that targets cancer cells expressing chemokine receptors. By combining diphtheria toxin with CCL8, DTCCL8 binds to multiple receptors on tumor cells and induces selective cytotoxicity. This strategy enables receptor‐mediated targeting of cancer and may support the development of chemokine‐guided therapeutics ...

One-Tape Turing Machine Variants and Language Recognition
We present two restricted versions of one-tape Turing machines. Both characterize the class of context-free languages. In the first version, proposed by Hibbard in 1967 and called limited automata, each tape cell can be rewritten only in the first $d ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
