Automatic Class Decomposition using Clustering

2021 IEEE 18th International Conference on Software Architecture Companion (ICSA-C), 2021
This paper presents an automated technique for architectural decomposition of classes using K-Means clustering. The goal is to help designers in grouping related classes into subsystems or packages. The proposed technique utilizes the K-Means clustering algorithm to cluster a set of java classes into disjoint groups.

A Heuristic Automatic Clustering Method Based on Hierarchical Clustering

2015
We propose a clustering method which produces valid results while automatically determining an optimal number of clusters. The proposed method achieves these results with minimal user input, of which none pertains to a number of clusters. Our method's effectiveness in clustering, including its ability to produce valid results on data sets presenting ...

Sentences clustering based automatic summarization

Proceedings of the 2003 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (IEEE Cat. No.03EX693), 2004
There are two ways by which the research on automatic summarization is carried out. One is based on statistics, and the other is based on message understanding. The former has nothing to do with domain, but its accuracy is lower. On the contrary, the latter depends on domain, but its accuracy is higher.

Automatic Offloading of Cluster Accelerators

2018 IEEE 26th Annual International Symposium on Field-Programmable Custom Computing Machines (FCCM), 2018
The sheer amount of computing resources required to run modern cloud workloads has put a lot of pressure on the design of power efficient cluster nodes. To address this problem, Intel (HARP) and Microsoft (Catapult) have proposed CPU-FPGA integrated architectures that can deliver efficient power-performance executions. Unfortunately, the integration of

Clustering Based Automatic Refactorings Identification

2008 10th International Symposium on Symbolic and Numeric Algorithms for Scientific Computing, 2008
The aim of this paper is to approach the problem of improving the design of an object oriented software system, by identifying the appropriate refactorings. It is well known that improving the quality of software systems design is an important issue during the evolution of object oriented software systems.

Random automatic detection of clusters

2011 International Conference on Image Information Processing, 2011
Clustering is a way to partition the database in various groups. It is being used in data mining at a very large scale. There are different clustering methods but the focus in this paper is on partitioning based clustering. In literature many algorithm including k-Means are available that require prior information from the outside world about the ...

Automatic Clustering of Hyperspectral Data

2006 IEEE 24th Convention of Electrical & Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2006
The main goal of this research is to examine some new methods for the automatic clustering of hyperspectral data. Hyperspectral data consists of images which originate from the same physical phenomena at various wavelengths. Use of this data is common not only for medical processing but also for military purposes.

Automatic clustering of code changes

Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Mining Software Repositories, 2016
Several research tools and projects require groups of similar code changes asinput. Examples are recommendation and bug finding tools that can providevaluable information to developers based on such data. With the help ofsimilar code changes they can simplify the application of bug fixes and codechanges to multiple locations in a project.
