Automatic Berthing Control of Ship Using Adaptive Neural Networks

open access: yesJournal of Navigation and Port Research, 2007
In this paper, an adaptive neural network controller and its application to automatic berthing control of ship is presented. The neural network controller is trained online using adaptive interaction technique without any teaching data and off-line training phase.

Study on ship automatic berthing system with mooring lines

open access: yesChina Ocean Engineering, 2017
This study describes an automatic berthing system with mooring lines. It is designed to be berthed by using mooring device on the upper deck of a ship. It is to berth once maintaining parallel with the quay by controlling both forward and aft breast lines.

Research on optimization of ship’s automatic berthing and unberthing control model

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Abstract The automatic berthing and unberthing of ships is one of the very important links in the process of ship navigation. Due to the relative increase of interference from external factors such as wind, waves, currents, and the relative increase in system information, the automatic berthing and unberthing operations are more ...

Research on a Support System for Automatic Ship Navigation in Fairway

open access: yesFuture Internet, 2019
In previous investigations, controllers for the track-keeping of ships were designed with the assumption of constant ship speed. However, when navigating in a fairway area, the ship’s speed is usually decreased to prepare for berthing. The existing
