Epigenetic Silencing of RFX7 Defines a Transcriptional Axis Linking Lactate Metabolism to Immune Checkpoint Therapy in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) exhibits RFX7 silencing via promoter hypermethylation, which downregulates PIK3IP1 to activate PI3K/AKT signaling, increase lactate accumulation, and enhance histone H4K12 lactylation. This lactylation upregulates PD‐L1/CSF1 expression and drives the immunosuppressive microenvironment formation.

Changes Needed to Facilitate Automatic Field Transplanting [PDF]

open access: yesHortTechnology, 1993
A lthough automatic transplanting of several field-grown vegetables is a reality, some changes in seedling production are necessary if the full potential of automation is to be realized. In automatic transplanting machines (ATMs) that are available, containerized seedlings such as lettuce, cauliflower, and celery are removed from the seedling trays and

A Fentanyl‐Responsive Microneedle Patch for Harm Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fentanyl‐responsive microneedle patch is developed as a self‐regulating overdose intervention that releases naloxone upon detecting fentanyl. The system employs aptamer‐functionalized nanoparticles embedded in a swellable polymer matrix to enable rapid, on‐demand drug delivery through the skin.

Organoid Brain‐Machine‐Interface Devices for Central Nervous System Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We envision organoid brain‐machine‐interface (Organoid‐BMI) devices as new biohybrid bidirectional communication pathways to connect the human CNS and the external world for personalized CNS repair and regeneration. ABSTRACT Central nervous system (CNS) repair and regeneration suffer from tremendous clinical challenges due to current limitations in ...

A Skull Bone Marrow‐to‐Brain Axis Links Osteoblastic Activity to Myeloid Cell Trafficking, Cerebral Blood Flow, and Cognition in Alzheimer's Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that Alzheimer's disease–linked APP expression in bone‐forming cells drives skull bone marrow remodeling and alters its vascular connections to the brain. These changes disrupt immune cell trafficking, cerebral blood flow, and cognition. Targeting bone marrow macrophages restores brain function, highlighting a previously unrecognized

Integrated Evaluation of Cabbage Plug Seedlings for Timely Transplanting in Automatic Mechanical Transplantation.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Farm Work Research, 1998
The effects of seedling age on uniformity in growth, rootability and adaptability to automatic plug transplanter were investigated in cabbage plug seedlings for their timely transplantation. Growth of plug seedlings and fresh weight of cabbage head were recorded after transplanting. Major findings:1.
