Connected reversible Mealy automata of prime size cannot generate infinite Burnside groups [PDF]
The simplest example of an infinite Burnside group arises in the class of automaton groups. However there is no known example of such a group generated by a reversible Mealy automaton. It has been proved that, for a connected automaton of size at most~3, or when the automaton is not bireversible, the generated group cannot be Burnside infinite. In this

Abstract Purpose Results of a prospective, randomized controlled trial at our institute demonstrate an association between the dose to the left hippocampus and neurocognitive decline post‐radiotherapy for patients with glioblastoma. To minimize the dose to the left hippocampus, a left hippocampus sparing model was created using RapidPlan (RP) and multi‐

Multiple sclerosis clinical decision support system based on projection to reference datasets
Abstract Objective Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a multifactorial disease with increasingly complicated management. Our objective is to use on‐demand computational power to address the challenges of dynamically managing MS. Methods A phase 3 clinical trial data (NCT00906399) were used to contextualize the medication efficacy of peg‐interferon beta‐1a vs ...

Abstract Purpose Cardiac motion may degrade dose distribution during stereotactic arrhythmia radioablation using the CyberKnife system, a robotic radiosurgery system. This study evaluated the dose distribution changes using a self‐made cardiac dynamic platform that mimics cardiac motion. Methods The cardiac dynamic platform was operated with amplitudes

A potential biomarker of cognitive impairment: The olfactory dysfunction and its genes expression
Abstract Objective Accumulation evidence has reported that olfactory impairment may be an essential clinical marker and predictor of mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer's disease. Method Participants were enrolled in the population‐based, prospective study in Fuxin county, Liaoning province, China between 2019 and 2021.

Review of Automaton Learning Algorithms with Polynomial Complexity -- Completely Solved Examples [PDF]
Automaton learning is a domain in which the target system is inferred by the automaton learning algorithm in the form of an automaton, by synthesizing a finite number of inputs and their corresponding outputs. Automaton learning makes use of a Minimally Adequate Teacher (MAT). The learner learns the target system by posing membership queries to the MAT.

Equicontinuous factors of one dimensional cellular automata [PDF]
We are interested in topological and ergodic properties of one dimensional cellular automata. We show that an ergodic cellular automaton cannot have irrational eigenvalues. We show that any cellular automaton with an equicontinuous factor has also as a factor an equicontinuous cellular automaton.
