The geometry and arithmetic of bielliptic Picard curves
Abstract We study the geometry and arithmetic of the curves C:y3=x4+ax2+b$C \colon y^3 = x^4 + ax^2 + b$ and their associated Prym abelian surfaces P$P$. We prove a Torelli‐type theorem in this context and give a geometric proof of the fact that P$P$ has quaternionic multiplication by the quaternion order of discriminant 6.

Genus bounds from unrolled quantum groups at roots of unity
Abstract For any simple complex Lie algebra g$\mathfrak {g}$, we show that the degrees of the “ADO” link polynomials coming from the unrolled restricted quantum group U¯qH(g)$\overline{U}^H_q(\mathfrak {g})$ at a root of unity give lower bounds to the Seifert genus of the link.

The main purpose of this paper is to construct ergodic, nonsingular, conservative n-to-one endomorphisms which preserve no equivalent sfinite measure. While such examples are known to exist w6, 9, 12, 19x, our examples are fundamentally different from the existing ones.

On Endomorphism Universality of Sparse Graph Classes
ABSTRACT We show that every commutative idempotent monoid (a.k.a. lattice) is the endomorphism monoid of a subcubic graph. This solves a problem of Babai and Pultr and the degree bound is best‐possible. On the other hand, we show that no class excluding a minor can have all commutative idempotent monoids among its endomorphism monoids. As a by‐product,

A note on local formulae for the parity of Selmer ranks
Abstract In this note, we provide evidence for a certain ‘twisted’ version of the parity conjecture for Jacobians, introduced in prior work of Dokchitser, Green, Konstantinou and the author. To do this, we use arithmetic duality theorems for abelian varieties to study the determinant of certain endomorphisms acting on p∞$p^\infty$‐Selmer groups.

Endomorphism monoid and automorphism group of residually finite and profinite quandles
We explore residually finite and profinite quandles. We prove that the endomorphism monoid and the automorphism group of finitely generated residually finite quandles are residually finite. In fact, we establish the similar result for a broad class of residually finite quandles. We provide a topological characterization of profinite quandles.

Endomorphisms and automorphisms from subfactors illustrating non-commutative entropy
We present a series of examples of endomorphisms and automorphisms arising from subfactors, which illustrate some of the recent theorems in non-commutative entropy theory. Moreover it is shown that for these examples the Connes-Størmer entropy of the automorphism is maximal and coincides with the topological entropy.
