Some properties of the growth and of the algebraic entropy of group endomorphisms [PDF]
We study the growth of group endomorphisms, a generalization of the classical notion of growth of finitely generated groups, which is strictly related to algebraic entropy.

The monoid of endomorphisms of disconnected hypergraphs
We prove that the monoid of endomorphisms of an arbitrary disconnected hypergraph is isomorphic to a wreath product of a transformation semigroup with a certain small category.

Endomorphisms of Free Groups That Preserve Automorphic Orbits
Using classical tools from combinatorial group theory, namely Nielsen transformations and the standard Whitehead graph, it is proved that if an endomorphism, \(\varphi\), of a free group of finite rank preserves a nontrivial automorphic orbit, then \(\varphi\) is actually an isomorphism, which confirms a conjecture of \textit{V. Shpilrain} [Arch.

Abstract In this paper, we study traces of Hecke operators on Drinfeld modular forms of level 1 in the case A=Fq[T]$A = \mathbb {F}_q[T]$. We deduce closed‐form expressions for traces of Hecke operators corresponding to primes of degree at most 2 and provide algorithms for primes of higher degree.

D.: Lifting endomorphisms to automorphisms
. Normal endomorphisms of von Neumann algebras need not be extendable to automorphisms of a larger von Neumann algebra, but they always have asymptotic lifts.

Extensible endomorphisms of compact groups
We show that the endomorphisms of a compact connected group that extend to endomorphisms of every compact overgroup are precisely the trivial one and the inner automorphisms; this is an analogue, for compact connected groups, of results due to Schupp and

Endomorphisms and automorphisms from subfactors illustrating non-commutative entropy
We present a series of examples of endomorphisms and automorphisms arising from subfactors, which illustrate some of the recent theorems in non-commutative entropy theory.

Entropy for endomorphisms of LCA groups
We introduce a modified version of the entropy defined for locally compact Abelian groups by Peters. This approach allows us to work with endomorphisms instead of working with automorphisms.
