Finite cyclic group of p-power order and its compatibility conditions
Finite cyclic groups of p-power order, where p represents a prime number, have long been an interesting field of study in abstract algebra. This paper investigates the compatibility conditions that control their existence and behaviour.

Kuga–Satake Construction on Families of K3 Surfaces of Picard Rank 14
ABSTRACT The isometry between the type IV6 and the type II4 hermitian symmetric domains suggests a possible relation between suitable moduli spaces of K3 surfaces of Picard rank 14 and of polarized abelian 8‐folds with totally definite quaternion multiplication. We show how this isometry induces a geometrically meaningful map between such moduli spaces

Tracking the symmetries of ℤ 3-orbifold K3s within the Mathieu groups
For ℤ 3-orbifold limits of K3, we provide a counterpart to the extensive studies by Nikulin and others of the geometry and symmetries of classical Kummer surfaces.

Beyond Substitution—An Antipositionalist's Guide to Subtraction—
ABSTRACT Existing accounts of relations do not properly account for variably polyadic relations: they fail to capture the relationship between completions of the same relation by different numbers of relata. This paper develops a fully general account of such relations by adding an operation of subtraction to the antipositionalist theory of relations ...

On the additive image of zeroth persistent homology
Abstract For a category X$X$ and a finite field F$F$, we study the additive image of the functor H0(−;F)∗:rep(X,Top)→rep(X,VectF)$\operatorname{H}_0(-;F)_* \colon \operatorname{rep}(X, \mathbf {Top}) \rightarrow \operatorname{rep}(X, \mathbf {Vect}_F)$, or equivalently, of the free functor rep(X,Set)→rep(X,VectF)$\operatorname{rep}(X, \mathbf {Set ...

Rational points on even‐dimensional Fermat cubics
Abstract We show that even‐dimensional Fermat cubic hypersurfaces are rational over any field of characteristic not equal to three, by constructing explicit rational parameterizations with polynomials of low degree. As a byproduct of our rationality constructions, we obtain estimates for the number of their rational points over a number field and ...

On the automorphisms of the power semigroups of a numerical semigroup
Abstract If H$H$ is a numerical semigroup (i.e., a cofinite subset of the non‐negative integers closed under addition), then the collection of all non‐empty subsets of H$H$ forms a semigroup P(H)$\mathcal {P}(H)$ under the sumset operation induced by addition in H$H$.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

Abstract Given r⩾3$r \geqslant 3$, we prove that there exists λ>0$\lambda >0$ depending only on r$r$ so that if G$G$ is a metric graph of rank r$r$ with metric entropy 1, then there exists a proper subgraph H$H$ of G$G$ with metric entropy at least λ$\lambda$. This answers a question of the second two authors together with Rieck. We interpret this as a

A characterization of metaplectic time–frequency representations
Abstract We characterize all time–frequency representations that satisfy a general covariance property: any weak*‐continuous bilinear mapping that intertwines time–frequency shifts on the configuration space with time–frequency shifts on phase space is a multiple of a metaplectic time–frequency representation. This characterization offers an intrinsic,
