A Wearable Brain–Computer Interface for Mitigating Car Sickness via Attention Shifting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Car sickness poses a major challenge in vehicular travel, yet effective nonpharmacological solutions are scarce. We developed a wearable, closed‐loop mindfulness BCI that uses real‐time EEG‐based neurofeedback to shift attention away from motion‐induced discomfort. Validated in real‐car experiments involving >100$>100$ susceptible individuals, over 83%

A Perspective on the Applications of Triphasic Gas Storage in Electrochemical Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gas storage in microporous materials positioned locally at an electrode or electrocatalyst surface enhances electrochemical processes. Abstract Microporous materials store gases under dry conditions (e.g., hydrogen or oxygen via physisorption), but in some cases microporous materials also show triphasic (e.g., in a solid|gas|liquid system) gas storage ...

A lightweight social cognitive risk potential field model for path planning with dedicated dynamic and static traffic factors

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems
Driving risk assessment is crucial for autonomous vehicles to guarantee driving safety and traffic efficiency. Risk field models with insufficient consideration of traffic factors are not reliable enough to provide effective support for automated driving

A Novel Metal Foam‐Supported Solid Oxide Fuel Cell With High Specific Power

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) employing metal foam supports with an ultrahigh porosity of 90% and average pore size of 100 µm are successfully fabricated. The metal foam architecture significantly enhances gas diffusion coefficients, effectively reducing concentration polarization while simultaneously decreasing areal mass.

Visualizing and Quantifying Impact with Mechanochromic Sensing Paints Based on Self‐Assembled Polydiacetylene‐Silk Core‐Shell Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tracking physical impacts is important in many fields. Self‐assembled microparticles made from polydiacetylene and silk fibroin that change color from blue to red when hit can provide an alternative approach to traditional mechanical transducers, quantitatively visualizing impact with responses ranging from <100 to 770 N.

Joint optimization of bow-type fast charger locations and battery capacity for electric buses

open access: yesJournal of Highway and Transportation Research and Development
The transition from fossil fuel-powered buses to battery electric buses (BEBs) is occurring gradually; however, BEBs encounter challenges such as limited driving range and extended charging durations, which highlight the need for the development of ...
