Photochromic compounds are versatile ingredients for the development of Chemical AI. When they are embedded in a tight microenvironment, they become Markov blankets. They are also valuable for processing Boolean and Fuzzy logic. They contribute to neuromorphic engineering in wetware based on opto‐chemical signals exchanged with oscillatory chemical ...

Insights on Advances in 3D Bioprinting for Peripheral Nerve Regeneration
Peripheral nerve injury is a common condition due to trauma that significantly impacts the life of the affected individual. This review explores the anatomy, classification, and pathophysiology of peripheral nerve injuries. It also discusses various types of nerve conduits and presents a detailed review of 3D bioprinted nerve conduits used in both in ...

Discrimination of the Healthy and Sick Cardiac Autonomic Nervous System by a New Wavelet Analysis of Heartbeat Intervals [PDF]
We demonstrate that it is possible to distinguish with a complete certainty between healthy subjects and patients with various dysfunctions of the cardiac nervous system by way of multiresolutional wavelet transform of RR intervals. We repeated the study of Thurner et al on different ensemble of subjects.

α‐Synuclein Pathology Spreads in a Midbrain–Hindbrain Assembloid Model
A novel midbrain–hindbrain assembloid model demonstrates the spread of α‐synuclein pathology, a hallmark of Parkinson's disease, mimicking Braak's hypothesis. This model reveals how pathology propagates from the hindbrain to the midbrain, inducing synaptic changes and early signs of neuronal vulnerability. It offers an innovative platform for exploring

sEVs have a critical role in orchestrating interorgan crosstalk and mediating exercise‐induced therapeutic effects. Lin et al. demonstrates that sEVs miR‐17/20a‐5p mediates the muscle‐brain crosstalk and emphasizes the central role of mTOR signaling in executing molecular programs that can protect brain health in response to exercise. Abstract Physical

Discrimination between Healthy and Sick Cardiac Autonomic Nervous System by Detrended Heart Rate Variability Analysis [PDF]
Multiresolution Wavelet Transform and Detrended Fluctuation Analysis have been recently proven as excellent methods in the analysis of Heart Rate Variability, and in distinguishing between healthy subjects and patients with various dysfunctions of the cardiac nervous system.

Implantable Self‐Powered Systems for Electrical Stimulation Medical Devices
In this paper, the design strategy and clinical application of ISS are discussed in depth from four aspects: the design and optimization of the energy collection module, the selection and preparation of adaptive electrode materials, the innovation of system design strategy, and the biological effect of electrical stimulation of ISS.

Abstract A growing body of research suggests that locus coeruleus‐norepinephrine (LC‐NE) system may function differently in individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Understanding the dynamics of both tonic (resting pupil diameter) and phasic (pupil dilation response [PDR] and event‐related potential [ERP]) indices may provide meaningful ...

Hierarchical learning control for autonomous robots inspired by central nervous system [PDF]
Mammals can generate autonomous behaviors in various complex environments through the coordination and interaction of activities at different levels of their central nervous system. In this paper, we propose a novel hierarchical learning control framework by mimicking the hierarchical structure of the central nervous system along with their ...

A Soft Electronics-Free robot [PDF]
Biomimetic entirely soft robots with animal-like behavior and integrated artificial nervous systems will open up totally new perspectives and applications. However, until now all presented studies on soft robots were limited to partly soft designs, since all designs at least needed conventional, stiff, electronics, to sense, process signals and ...
