Digitalis and the autonomic nervous system
Digitalis produces many of its effects in intact animals and human beings by modifying the properties of the autonomic nervous system. The parasympathetic limb of the autonomic nervous system is most sensitive to these effects of digitalis, and its properties are significantly altered with therapeutic concentrations of the drug.

Colonoscopic continuum robots lack sensing, endangering intestinal tissue. An ideal sensing array is hard to integrate. This work introduces a 3D crosslinked stretchable E‐armor with full‐coverage and multiplexing. It has bimodal sensing, forms a triboelectric synapse, uses CNN‐LSTM, and has a hydrogel and innovative triboelectric materials.

Influence of resistance exercise on autonomic nervous system and sleep [PDF]
Physical activity changes our body in many aspects, including autonomic regulation of cardiovascular system and thermoregulation, changes in metabolism, secretion of hormones and, as a consequence, mental changes.

Performance‐Recoverable Closed‐Loop Neuroprosthetic System
A self‐healing and stretchable bilayer (SSB) electrode with spontaneous performance recovery consists of a nanomembrane (closely packed aligned Pt‐coated Ag nanowires embedded in the self‐healing polymer) and a nanocomposite (Pt‐coated Ag flakes in the self‐healing polymer).

Tutorial: Autonomic Nervous System
Introduction There are few topics in anatomy more perplexing to first-year medical students than the autonomic nervous system. Given its complexity, this topic is amenable to approaches that may enhance student learning.

Influence of autonomic nervous system in the inducibility of atrial fibrillation. [PDF]
Cílem této práce je zjištění změn předcházejícím fibrilaci síní. Pozorována je rovnováha mezi sympatikem a parasympatikem. Do experimentu výzkumného ústavu Cleavlendské kliniky bylo zapojeno šest psů různých ras.

ATP as a presynaptic modulator [PDF]
© 2000 Elsevier Science Inc.There is considerable evidence that ATP acts as a fast transmitter or co-transmitter in autonomic and sensory nerves mostly through activation of ionotropic P2X receptors but also through metabotropic P2Y receptors. By analogy,

Synthetic Chromatophores for Color and Pattern Morphing Skins
Cephalopods use chromatophore organs (muscle‐actuated pigment sacs) to alter their skin color and pattern. Synthetic chromatophores, which closely mimic the mechano‐optical process found in cephalopods using stimuli‐responsive microscale hydrogel actuators, are reported.

Electroceutical Targeting of the Autonomic Nervous System.
Autonomic nerves are attractive targets for medical therapies using electroceutical devices because of the potential for selective control and few side effects. These devices use novel materials, electrode configurations, stimulation patterns, and closed-
