Carbon Nanotube 3D Integrated Circuits: From Design to Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
As Moore's law approaches its physical limits, carbon nanotube (CNT) 3D integrated circuits (ICs) emerge as a promising alternative due to the miniaturization, high mobility, and low power consumption. CNT 3D ICs in optoelectronics, memory, and monolithic ICs are reviewed while addressing challenges in fabrication, design, and integration.

Stress, the Autonomic Nervous System, and the Immune-kynurenine Pathway in the Etiology of Depression

open access: yesCurrent Neuropharmacology, 2016
The autonomic nervous system is one of the major neural pathways activated by stress. In situations that are often associated with chronic stress, such as major depressive disorder, the sympathetic nervous system can be continuously activated without the

Integration of Perovskite/Low‐Dimensional Material Heterostructures for Optoelectronics and Artificial Visual Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Heterojunctions combining halide perovskites with low‐dimensional materials enhance optoelectronic devices by enabling precise charge control and improving efficiency, stability, and speed. These synergies advance flexible electronics, wearable sensors, and neuromorphic computing, mimicking biological vision for real‐time image analysis and intelligent

Contributions of Turkish neurosurgeons on the studies about autonomic nervous system dysfunction following experimental subarachnoid hemorrhage

open access: yesMedicine Science, 2021
Spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage accounts for around 5% of all cases of stroke. Pathophysiologic autonomic nervous system changes have been frequently observed following SAH, In this paper, the interest of Turkish neurosurgeons in studies of autonomic

Engineering Topographical Cues to Enhance Neural Regeneration in Spinal Cord Injury: Overcoming Challenges and Advancing Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spinal cord injury (SCI) poses significant challenges for regeneration due to a series of secondary injury mechanisms. How to use biomaterial approach to target the failed regeneration after SCI remains a critical challenge. This review systematically evaluates current strategies to optimize biomaterial topographies for neurite outgrowth, axonal ...

Covalent Binding of Dexamethasone to Polyimide Improves Biocompatibility of Neural Implantable Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The covalent binding of dexamethasone to the surface of polyimide represents the electrically inert part of implantable intraneural devices. This ensures a sustained release of the drug for 9 weeks. In vitro and in vivo tests confirm the reduction of the foreign body reactions and the improved biocompatibility of dexamethasone functionalized polyimide.

Autonomic dysregulation and phenobarbital in patients with masked primary hypertension

open access: yesHeliyon, 2020
Introduction: Primary hypertension can be masked and be responsible of a severe impact on the target bodies. The purpose of this study was to see if Phenobarbital at low dose is able to decrease the sympathetic hyperactivity assessed by cardiovascular ...
