In this method, by increasing the degrees of freedom of the unbalanced IEEE 906 bus low‐voltage reference network through load transfer switches, the optimal network configuration is proposed using a meta‐heuristic algorithm to solve this constrained large‐scale optimization problem for the purpose of electrical losses reduction.

This paper designs and implements a fully analogue gate driver for current compensation of paralleled SiC‐MOSFETs. Silicon carbide MOSFETs have current ratings that are not sufficiently high to be used in high‐power converters. It is necessary to connect several MOSFETs in parallel in order to increase current capabilities.

An Isolated SEPIC‐Based AC‐AC Converter for Voltage Sag/Swell Mitigation
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a high‐frequency isolated buck‐boost AC‐AC converter based on the single‐ended‐primary‐inductance‐converter (SEPIC) topology and its extension circuit with bipolar output. The proposed converters can achieve a wide range of voltage step‐down and step‐up operations with both same‐ and reversed‐phase outputs.

Wavelet analysis of geomagnetically induced currents during the strong geomagnetic storms
The main problem of electric utilities around the world is to ensure continuous power supply to consumers. One of the causes of power outages and blackouts can be geomagnetic storms during periods of the increased solar activity.

Hybrid IGBT/IGCT‐Based DC‐Hub for Interconnection of VSC/LCC Future DC Networks
ABSTRACT The interest in interconnecting multiple DC grids‐ medium‐voltage direct current/high‐voltage direct current (MVDC/HVDC)‐ across the globe has grown significantly in recent years. This interest is primarily driven by the benefits of increased reliability and cost efficiency in power transmission systems, particularly with the growing ...

This paper eliminates the conventional high‐gain DC‐DC converter by a novel single‐source reduced‐switch common ground (CG) nine‐level switched capacitor (SC) inverter, which has quadruple boosting capability. The proposed inverter has eleven switches, among which nine switches are driven at higher frequency while being clamped by low capacitor ...
