Dual Winding Induction Machine Based Grid‐Tied Inverting System

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 18, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
In this paper, we show a machine interface for renewable energy integration: a dual winding induction machine (DWIM) based inverting system. The DWIM‐based inverting system can effectively alleviate the problems such as wideband oscillations, inertia deficiency and weakened grid strength, caused by the high penetration of power electronic equipment ...

A novel switching method in PV‐fed quasi‐ZSI‐DVR for voltage quality enhancement of photovoltaic integrated networks

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Abstract In this work, a novel switching method for the photovoltaic‐fed (PV‐fed) dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) system based on a quasi‐Z‐source inverter (quasi‐ZSI) is proposed. This proposed switching control strategy is implemented in such a way that a wider voltage boost gain and lower voltage stress across the switches and capacitors are achieved.

Design analysis and experimental validation of a multi‐level inverter for vehicle to home application

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Abstract Robust and economic inverting devices are needed with the increasing practice of direct current (DC) sources. This paper proposes a compact multi‐level inverter topology for Vehicle to Home (V2H) application under different load conditions. A reduced number of switches with a single DC source (EV battery) is used to generate the 11‐level of ...

Construction and Comparison of Models With Different Time Scales For Offshore DC Wind Turbine Using LLC Resonant Converter

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper first establishes an electromagnetic transient model for offshore DC wind turbines, and further obtains the electromechanical transient model of DC wind turbines based on the average value model of the converter. Then, through simulation comparison under multiple working conditions, the applicability of the above two models is obtained ...
