Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...

Bright, dark, periodic and kink solitary wave solutions of evolutionary Zoomeron equation

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2022
The modified auxiliary equation (MAE) approach and the generalized projective Riccati equation (GPRE) method are used for the first time to solve Zoomeron problem which provided different types of exact traveling wave solutions, including some new ...

Substrate specificity of Burkholderia pseudomallei multidrug transporters is influenced by the hydrophilic patch in the substrate‐binding pocket

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Semirelativistic Hamiltonians and the auxiliary field method

open access: yes, 2009
Approximate analytical closed energy formulas for semirelativistic Hamiltonians of the form $\sigma\sqrt{\bm p^{2}+m^2}+V(r)$ are obtained within the framework of the auxiliary field method.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

The auxiliary equation method for the construction of deformed solitary solutions to the model of tumor-immune system interaction

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
The auxiliary equation method for the construction of deformed solitary solutions to the mathematical model of tumor-immune system interaction is presented in this paper. The investigated model does not admit classical solitary solutions.

A FDR-preserving field theory for interacting Brownian particles: one-loop theory and MCT

open access: yes, 2007
We develop a field theoretical treatment of a model of interacting Brownian particles. We pay particular attention to the requirement of the time reversal invariance and the fluctuation-dissipation relationship (FDR).

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
