Markov sampling with auxiliary information
Statistical Papers, 1992In this paper a new class of sampling design, with a markovian behaviour, which use both auxiliary and label information for estimating the total of a finite population, is proposed. The performance of these schemes is numerically compared with Midzuno, Rejective and PPS systematic sampling schemes for populations exhibiting exponential trend.

Multivariate Calibrations with Auxiliary Information
Statistica SinicaSummary: We investigate multivariate calibrations from a modern perspective with a focus on incorporating auxiliary variables and handling complex data dependencies with random effects. By introducing auxiliary variables, the roles of the variables in multivariate calibration problems are no longer restricted to being either response or explanatory ...

Bootstrapping with auxiliary information
Canadian Journal of Statistics, 1999AbstractIn the nonparametric setting, the standard bootstrap method is based on the empirical distribution function of a random sample. The author proposes, by means of the empirical likelihood technique, an alternative bootstrap procedure under a nonparametric model in which one has some auxiliary information about the population distribution.

Estimating Ratio of Proportions Using Auxiliary Information
Biometrical Journal, 1986AbstractThe problem of estimation of ratio of population proportions is considered and a difference‐type estimator is proposed using auxiliary information. The bias and mean squared error of the proposed estimator is found and compared to the usual estimator and also to WYNN'S (1976) type estimator. An example is included for illustration.

Estimation of Mode Using Auxiliary Information
Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 2014In this article, we propose naive estimator, ratio estimator, and difference estimator of the mode of a study variable by using the known mode of an auxiliary variable. The asymptotic properties of the proposed estimators are studied analytically as well as empirically for different situations. The proper use of auxiliary information is found to result

Catch-Age Analysis with Auxiliary Information
Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, 1985We examined the use of catch-at-age data for estimating population abundance, productivity, and year-class abundance. A review section is included where various published models and our new models are shown to form a cohesive theory of catch-at-age analysis linked by level of model complexity.

Variance Estimation Using Auxiliary Information
Journal of the American Statistical Association, 1983Abstract Variance estimators under several sample designs are proposed and compared when auxiliary information is available. Improvement of the bias and mean squared error over some estimators commonly used in practice is illustrated. A Monte Carlo comparison of the estimators is also presented.

POPLAR: Parafac2 decOmPosition using auxiLiAry infoRmation
2020 IEEE 11th Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM), 2020PARAFAC2 is a powerful method for analyzing multi-modal data consisting of irregular frontal slices. In this work, we propose POPLAR method that imposes graph Laplacians constraints induced by the similarity symmetric tensor as auxiliary information to force decomposition factors to behave similarly and the method is developed using AO-ADMM for 3-way ...

Markov systematic sampling using auxiliary information
1996In this paper, a new systematic sampling which uses both label and auxiliary information has been introduced. The suggested scheme is shown to yield positive first order inclusion probabilities for all units and positive second order inclusion probabilities for all pairs of units.
