Agronomy Journal, 1973AbstractCombinations of gibberellic acid (GA) and 2‐methyl, 4‐chlorophenoxyacetic acid (MCPA) were applied to the foliage of greenhouse‐grown sugarcane (interspecific hybrids of Saccharum), as part of a program of screening potential ripening agents. GA induced the typical growth stimulation, lasting about 4 weeks in these trials.

Role of RNA metabolism in the action of auxin-herbicides
1969The auxin-herbicides are those herbicidal compounds which in low concentration exhibit the growth promoting properties of the native auxin, indoleacetic acid (IAA). The type compounds here are 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxy-acetic acid (MCPA).
