Available Bandwidth Estimation in Network-Aware Applications for Wireless Campus e-Learning System

open access: yesJournal of Computer Networks and Communications, 2012
The constraint of a wireless network has motivated many researchers to develop network-aware applications that can dynamically adjust the users' demand based on network resources.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Passive Available Bandwidth Estimation Based on Collision Probability and Node State Synchronization in Wireless Networks

open access: yesJournal of ICT Research and Applications, 2017
In wireless networks, available bandwidth estimation is challenging because wireless channels are used by multiple users or applications concurrently. In this study, we propose a passive measurement scheme to estimate the available bandwidth in 802.12 ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

TCP TIPS: Transport Protocol for Unreliable Networks with Latency-Sensitive Data

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2015
The article describes TCP TIPS, the transport level protocol, which aim is to effi- ciently use the available bandwidth. This protocol implements the proactive methods for congestion avoidance. These methods allow TCP TIPS to yield the required amount of

Super-Bandwidth Two-Step Phase-Shifting Off-Axis Digital Holography by Optimizing Two-Dimensional Spatial Frequency Sampling Scheme

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The presence of the auto correlation and twin cross correlation noises restrict the available spatial bandwidth of the holographic microscopy to much less than the available bandwidth of the digital sensor.

Operational comparison of available bandwidth estimation tools [PDF]

open access: yesACM SIGCOMM Computer Communication Review, 2008
The available bandwidth of a path directly impacts the performance of throughput sensitive applications, e.g., p2p content replication or podcasting. Several tools have been devised to estimate the available bandwidth. The vast majority of these tools follow either the Probe Rate Model (PRM) or the Probe Gap Model (PGM). Lao et al.

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.
