AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Inter-Domain Availability Guarantees with Bandwidth Reservations

open access: yes, 2023
The Internet is a critical infrastructure: Network outages have deep financial and societal consequences, and global impact. Yet, the Internet’s core protocols offer surprisingly few availability guarantees. Best effort—a term used to describe Internet forwarding—epitomizes this no-assurance approach to communication.

Unveiling Exsolution‐Induced Giant Electronic and Magnetic Property Changes in Non‐Stoichiometric Titanate Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A giant insulator to metal transition and emergent superparamagnetism are revealed by nanoparticle exsolution in non‐stoichiometric titanate perovskite thin films. By combining transport, synchrotron spectroscopy, and first‐principles calculations, this work reveals how defect reconfiguration and lattice reconstruction fundamentally reshape electronic ...

A Real-Time Measurement Algorithm for Available Bandwidth

open access: yesInternational Journal of Communications, Network and System Sciences, 2009
Available bandwidth estimation is useful for route selection in overlay networks, QoS, and traffic engineer-ing. Many measurement algorithms, such as Pathload, Pathchar, and Packet Transmission Rate (PTR) method, etc. have been proposed. PTR method sends a sequence of packet trains to characterize the interac-tion between probing packets and the ...

Second‐Harmonic Hyper‐Mie Optical Activity Enables Closed‐Loop Chiral Photochemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Nonlinear chiral photochemistry is demonstrated in CdTe/CdO nanohelices, where circularly polarized infrared light both drives and tracks photo‐oxidation via second‐harmonic scattering. This closed‐loop process reveals real‐time structural evolution, including shell fracturing and core exposure, accompanied by a transition from hyper‐Mie to hyper ...

Tailoring Phonon‐Driven Responses in α‐MoO3 through Isotopic Enrichment

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The implementation of polaritonic materials into nanoscale devices requires selective tuning of parameters to realize desired spectral or thermal responses. One robust material, α‐MoO3, an orthorhombic crystal boasting three distinct phonon dispersions, provides three polaritonic dispersions of hyperbolic phonon polaritons (HPhPs) across the ...
