Transistorized Marx bank pulse circuit provides voltage multiplication with nanosecond rise-time [PDF]
Base-triggered avalanche transistor circuit used in a Marx bank pulser configuration provides voltage multiplication with nanosecond rise-time. The avalanche-mode transistors replace conventional spark gaps in the Marx bank.

Rate-Dependent Avalanche Size in Athermally Sheared Amorphous Solids
We perform an extensive numerical study of avalanche behavior in a 2D LJ glass at T=0, sheared at finite strain rates $\dot\gamma$. From the finite size analysis of stress fluctuations and of transverse diffusion we show that flip-flip correlations ...

Natural Emergencies and Some Causes of Their Occurrence: a Review [PDF]
In recent decades, nature has seen many anomalies with the environment, climate, and the processes taking place. This leads to a change in the temperature of the environment, the formation of meteorological processes that are not characteristic of a ...

Phonon Engineering in Ultrathin Sn Films
When embedded in multilayer structures, ultrathin Sn layers demonstrate strongly modified vibrational density of states (VDOS). This allows engineering a drastic increase of the Lamb‐Mössbauer factor fLM$f_{\text{LM}}$ and thereby of the cross‐section for coherent excitation of the ultrasharp nuclear resonance of 119Sn$^{119}{\rm Sn}$. This enables the

Combining high‐order cluster‐correlation expansion with experiment, it is revealed that P1‐driven NV decoherence under dynamical decoupling deviates from semi‐classical scaling laws. The coherence‐time exponent depends on pulse number and bath conditions, demonstrating the necessity of a full quantum bath description.

From the magneto optics images (MOI), the dendritic magnetic avalanche is known to appear dominantly for thin films of the newly discovered MgB$_2$. To clarify the origin of this phenomenon, we studied in detail the MOI of carbon-free MgB$_2$ thin films ...

The engineered TF‐Fe@LC nanoplatform programs paraptotic death via multipath ROS amplification that disrupts redox homeostasis, provoking mitochondrial dysfunction, autophagic blockade, and ER stress. This caspase‐independent process elicits robust immunogenic cell death, combining with αPD‐L1 to activate systemic CD8+ T‐cell immunity and suppress ...
