Heat Transfer Enhancement By Using Different Patterns Of The Receiver Circumference Of The Locally Fabricated

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم
The current study presents an experimental attempt to enhance the thermal performance of a parabolic solar collector, which is a tube made of copper, by using four different types of receiver coatings. The experiments were conducted with a mass flow rate

Development of criteria for a magnetic hydrocyclones

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
New criteria of a magnetic hydrocyclone - average value, magnetic field density and magnetic energy in a hydrocyclone are introduced in the article. Due to simplicity of a design and Ease of production and service, magnetic hydrocyclones have found broad

Evolutionary game–based trajectory design algorithm for mobile sink in wireless sensor networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2020
In wireless sensor networks, if sink node is stationary, the nodes close to sink will deplete energy faster than those in other areas. The unbalanced energy consumption among the nodes will lead to the energy hole problem, which shortens the network ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

The measurement errors of X-ray devices features

open access: yesТехнологія та конструювання в електронній апаратурі, 2011
Expressions for calculating the measurement errors of X-ray devices features are given as follows: mean photon energy, homogeneity coefficient, the first and the second half-value layer (1st HVL, 2nd HVL). Comparison of errors is organized at measurement

Calculation of energy-saving effect from the use of parallel active filters in a three-phase fourwire power supply system with increasing the averaging interval of the measured values

open access: yesElectronics and Communications, 2017
he apparent power of the three-phase four-wire supply system was decomposed into quadratic components under conditions of symmetric sinusoidal phase voltages. It was shown that the power factor for this mode is a product of the shift and asymmetry coefficients, the values of which are determined through the parameters of the symmetrical components of ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
