Evaluation of RPL’s Single Metric Objective Functions [PDF]
In this paper, we evaluate the performance of RPL (IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Networks) based on the Objective Function being used to construct the Destination Oriented Directed Acyclic Graph (DODAG).

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Savings from Wind Power [PDF]
Currently in Great Britain, estimates of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions savings that arise from wind power replacing other types of generation are approximated as the average emissions of electricity generation; however, this value is known to be ...

High average power diamond Raman laser
We report a pulsed Raman laser at 1193 nm based on synthetic diamond crystals with a record output power of 24.5 W and a slope efficiency of 57%. We compared the performance of an anti-reflection coated crystal at normal incidence with a Brewster cut sample.

Influence of Anode Immersion Speed on Current and Power in Plasma Electrolytic Polishing
Plasma electrolytic polishing (PeP) is mainly used to improve the surface quality and thus the performance of electrically conductive parts. It is usually used as an anodic process, i.e., the workpiece is positively charged.

MIMO Dual-Functional Radar-Communication Waveform Design With Peak Average Power Ratio Constraint
In this paper, novel Dual-Functional Radar-Communication (DFRC) waveforms with peak average power ratio (PAPR) constraint are designed, which are under the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar-communication system.

Coherence generating power of unitary transformations via probabilistic average
We study the ability of a quantum channel to generate quantum coherence when it applies to incoherent states. Based on probabilistic averages, we define a measure of such coherence generating power (CGP) for a generic quantum channel, based on the ...

High average-power induction linacs [PDF]
Designs for LIAs (linear induction accelerators) stem primarily from physics concerns about stable beam transport and emittance preservation; these concerns lead to specific design features of the induction cores and injectors, stringent requirements on energy regulation, and specification of voltage gradient and precision magnetic alignment.

Three-Dimensional Modified Cross-Section Hydrofoil Design and Performance Study
To improve the hydrodynamic performance of hydrofoils, this study combines the shape characteristics of flat and elliptical wings, uses parabolic function to fit the leading and trailing edges of hydrofoils, introduces the cross-section coefficient λ to ...
