Theory of Time-Averaged-Product Arrays

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1957
The mathematical analysis of the directional characteristics of linear additive arrays is given in a polynomial representation. The result of multiplying and taking a time average of the outputs of several detectors also has directional characteristics that may be expressed as polynomials.

Optimal Reorientation of a Multibody Spacecraft Through Joint Motion Using Averaging Theory

, 2000
The problem of reorienting amultibodyspacecraft using appendagejointmotion is addressed. Averaging theory shows thatsmallperiodicactuationofsuchappendagesresults ina secularchange in the orientationof themultibody spacecraft.

Fermion-field theory and configuration averaging

Journal of Physics C: Solid State Physics, 1975
The configuration-averaging theory of Mookerjee (see abst. A38777, a43969 of 1973) using a disorder field is put here in an equivalent picture of an electron interacting with a fermion field. This provides a more physical background to the mathematically abstruse formalism and also provides a justification to the CPA and cluster cpas proposed by Bishop

Perturbation theory and averages in inhomogeneous cosmologies.

2021
This thesis will discuss the standard model of cosmology, ΛCDM, along with standard perturbation theory. We will thereafter, explore alternatives to ΛCDM. In Chapter 2 we shall discuss a brief history of the development of GR and introduce the standard model of cosmology.

On the reduction theory for average case complexity

1991
This is an attempt to simplify and justify the notions of deterministic and randomized reductions, an attempt to derive these notions from (more or less) first principles.
