Ag/Ce1‐xMnxO2 Catalysts for Soot Oxidation in the Presence of NOx and NOx─CO: Role of Ce/Mn Molar Ratio

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
Ag/CeO2, Ag/MnOx, and Ag/CeMnOx (at different Ce/Mn molar ratios) synthesized via citrate sol‐gel method were investigated in soot oxidation. The presence of NO in the reaction mixture inhibited soot oxidation. By adding CO to the NO + O2 reaction mixture no inhibition of soot combustion was observed, and NO was converted to N2 via SCR with CO before ...

Personal Factors and Career Decision Self‐Efficacy of Postsecondary International Students: The Moderating Role of Cultural Adjustment

open access: yesThe Career Development Quarterly, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Guided by social cognitive career theory, the current study aims to examine the effect of international students’ personal factors on their career decision self‐efficacy (CDSE) in a postsecondary educational context. We also examine the moderating effect of their cultural adjustment on the relationships between their personal factors and CDSE.

Improving the Efficiency of a Bioreactor Equipped With Mixed‐Flow Impellers

open access: yesChemical Engineering &Technology, EarlyView.
The present work investigated the biological performance of mixed‐flow impellers. To the authors’ knowledge, this is the first experimental study on such impellers in a fermentation process using A. vinelandii, which was chosen as a microorganism due to its high oxygen demand.

Spectroscopic Interrogation of Thiolate Hydrogen Bonding in the CO Sensor Protein CooA: Implications for Thiolate Ligation Stability and Cytochrome P450 Function

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Accepted Article.
Cysteine (Cys) thiolate coordination is a unique ligation motif found in heme enzymes and small molecule sensors. Divergence between these two functional classes of heme thiolate proteins is a result of distinct hydrogen bonding interactions with the axial Cys(thiolate) ligand.

Chloride Double Perovskites Doped with Sb3+/Er3+ as Stable and Effective Luminescence Materials in the Vis‐NIR Region

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Accepted Article.
The luminescence properties of stable halide double perovskites Cs2BIInCl6, where BI – 40% Ag, 60% Na, doped with Sb3+ and Er3+ in the region 250‐1600 nm were investigated for the first time and reveal significant potential for advanced application.
