Enhancing the Performance of 3D‐Printed Polyamide Composites Through Pre‐ and Post‐Processing Methods

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
FDM‐printed polyamide composites and post‐processing by annealing. ABSTRACT In this study, composite filaments with a short carbon fiber (CF) reinforced polyamide 612 (PA612) were produced using the FDM method at three different raster angles (0°, ±45°, 90°).

Study of small turbofan engines applicable to general-aviation aircraft [PDF]

open access: yes
The applicability of small turbofan engines to general aviation aircraft is discussed. The engine and engine/airplane performance, weight, size, and cost interrelationships are examined. The effects of specific engine noise constraints are evaluated. The

Mechanical, Thermal, and Microstructural Evaluation of Bio‐Based Polyurethane Composites Reinforced With Woven Jute and Flax

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Graphical overview of the manufacturing and characterization of bio‐based polyurethane composites reinforced with woven jute and flax fibers produced by the VARTM process. Mechanical, thermal, and microstructural analyses reveal differences in stiffness, thermal stability, and interfacial behavior between the natural fiber composites.

Improvement of water absorption behavior and mechanical properties of woven jute fiber‐reinforced epoxy composites with waste eggshell filler

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
This study investigates the influence of waste eggshell powder on the water absorption and mechanical properties of jute fiber‐reinforced epoxy composites. Optimal eggshell filler content (2 wt%) significantly enhances composite performance by reducing water absorption and improving mechanical properties.

Recycling‐Induced Changes of Molecular Weight and Structural Properties in PET Monopolymer Blends

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
The present study investigates the molecular weight, thermal, rheological, and mechanical properties of polymer blends of high and low molecular weight polyethylene terephthalate (PET) components. The research reveals that extrusion processing influences chain scission and chain extension, inhibiting the broadening of the molecular weight distribution ...
